HR Officer – Recruitment & Payroll

About the role

The HR Officer will play a pivotal role in managing the school's human resources functions, ensuring smooth recruitment, payroll, and employee benefits processes. This position supports a bilingual, international learning environment and works closely with school management to uphold HR best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to onboarding.
• Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures in line with Cambodian employment law.
• Administer payroll activities, including salary adjustments and employee data updates.
• Conduct salary surveys, job evaluations, and support compensation planning.
• Manage employee benefits programs, insurance administration, and claims processing.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims and required documents to government agencies.
• Assist with training grant applications and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support employee engagement, training coordination, and other HR initiatives.
• Perform ad‑hoc HR tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of local employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Cambodian labor legislation.
• Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration processes.
• Experience with recruitment and onboarding procedures.
