HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist supports the HR Manager and coordinators in delivering day‑to‑day HR services across the University of Puthisastra. The role handles personnel records, recruitment logistics, onboarding, attendance, leave, statutory compliance and staff engagement, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain physical and digital personnel files in the UPERP/HRIS system with strict confidentiality.
• Coordinate job postings, screen applications, schedule interviews and manage pre‑employment documentation.
• Support onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and IT/facilities setup for new staff.
• Monitor attendance, leave and overtime data and provide verified information to the payroll team.
• Assist with statutory requirements such as work permits, NSSF registration and health‑insurance enrollment.
• Organise staff engagement events, training logistics and ESG‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of HR administration or operational support experience; experience in higher education is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, English or a related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high discretion with confidential information and a proactive, customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet/email tools.
• Familiarity with HR databases or ERP systems (e.g., UPERP/HRIS).
