Sales Development & Auditor

About the role

The Sales Development & Auditor evaluates and enhances the performance of the sales force through structured assessments, field audits, and data‑driven analysis. Working closely with Sales Management, Business Intelligence and Learning & Development, the role identifies gaps, ensures compliance with sales standards and drives continuous improvement across territories.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain assessment tools, questionnaires, scorecards and practical tests for various sales positions.
• Conduct periodic assessments of sales executives and other field personnel.
• Audit sales activities against established processes, standards and commercial programs.
• Evaluate outlet visit quality, route compliance, product availability, visibility and promotion execution.
• Identify gaps between expected standards and actual field execution and document findings with recommendations.
• Review sales performance data, KPIs and productivity indicators to pinpoint performance gaps.
• Analyze individual and team results to uncover strengths, weaknesses and recurring issues.
• Provide data‑driven insights to sales managers and coordinate training interventions with Learning & Development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Management, HR or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales, sales development, training, assessment or field audit.
• Preferably experience in FMCG, beverage or consumer goods industries.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, field execution, distribution and sales KPIs.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Ability to design assessment tools, audit checklists, scorecards and evaluation reports.
• High attention to detail and strong observation skills for field assessments.
• Good problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities.
