Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales growth and manage key client relationships across Phnom Penh and Kandal. Reporting to the line manager, you will oversee a team of Sales Executives, ensure regional KPIs are met, and drive strategic initiatives to increase market share for our FMCG portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Translate sales strategies into actionable activities that achieve regional KPIs.
• Plan and execute promotions to boost performance in assigned territories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key outlets to guarantee product visibility and stock levels.
• Conduct customer experience surveys and turn insights into targeted sales actions.
• Develop a monthly call plan and ensure the sales team follows it effectively.
• Coach and develop the regional sales team to enhance skills and performance.
• Collaborate closely with distributors, monitor their targets, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role within FMCG.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and lead a team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with capability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software such as SMIA.
• Familiarity with SAA or similar sales automation tools.
