Assistant Manager Field Sales

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Field Sales leads a high‑performing sales team in Cambodia, driving revenue for DKSH’s Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) portfolio. This people‑leadership role combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution to expand market coverage and build strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term sales strategies, route planning and new customer generation.
• Monitor sales performance, marketing activities and store call cycles, adapting solutions to market changes.
• Track competitor actions and propose counter‑strategies to protect market position.
• Drive core sales fundamentals such as coverage expansion, assortment growth and speed‑to‑market for new product launches.
• Manage branch stock requests to ensure sufficient inventory for forecasted demand.
• Lead weekly review meetings, set KPIs and define action plans.
• Set fair, data‑driven sales targets based on market opportunity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar sales role and 2‑3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Sound knowledge of the FMCG market, competitors and customers in Cambodia.
• Proven sales track record with an established network of industry contacts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Hands‑on field experience with a results‑driven approach.
