Head of Human Resources – Manufacturing

About the role

The Head of Human Resources will lead the people function for a large‑scale, 24/7 apparel and textile manufacturing operation in Cambodia. Reporting directly to the business owner, you will work alongside senior supervisors, executives and an established HR team to shape strategy, drive engagement and ensure compliance with international ESG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to manage and develop a sizable team of supervisors and executives across operations, warehousing, logistics and technical functions.
• Define and execute HR strategy for a multi‑department office team covering HR, finance, purchasing, warehousing and logistics.
• Design and implement an internal ESG policy framework to satisfy global client requirements and reduce reliance on external consultants.
• Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution and engagement across a diverse, multinational workforce.
• Facilitate communication and engagement for teams with varying English proficiency, including a significant Chinese‑speaking technical workforce.
• Build trust and rapport with an established, tenured leadership team.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage ESG frameworks and policies.
• Strong conflict‑management and stakeholder‑management skills; pragmatic and adaptable.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, owner‑led decision‑making environment.
• Bilingual ability in English and Mandarin or another regional language is an advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Cambodia (candidates from Thailand, Malaysia or the wider region are welcome).
