Business Unit Manager

About the role

The Business Unit Manager will support the Head of Business and Credit Operations in driving branch performance, loan disbursement, and overall business growth across the micro‑finance network. This role combines operational planning, performance monitoring, and strategic coaching to ensure branches meet their targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Business and Credit Operations in training and supporting business officers.
• Prepare and allocate operational and projection plans to branches in line with Board‑approved strategies.
• Monitor branch performance, staff productivity, and disbursement plans on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Analyze productivities, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
• Conduct competitive research and provide strategic recommendations for loan and deposit portfolio growth.
• Visit under‑performing branches, offer coaching, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Support branches with sales techniques, promotion strategies, and customer acquisition.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Head of Business and Credit Operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or MBA in Marketing, Finance, Banking, Management or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of field experience in a micro‑finance institution.
• Proven experience in branch operation management and sales strategy development.
• Strong leadership, motivation, planning and management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Khmer and English.
• Ability to objectively identify and address operational risks.
