Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant

About the role

The Bookkeeper (Accounting Assistant) is a full‑time, on‑site position in Phnom Penh, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities for a fast‑growing catering and services company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and prepare journal entries in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process invoices, payments, and track expenses and revenues using accounting software.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Reconcile accounts and ledgers to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to provide timely and complete financial data.
• Support management reporting needs and ensure compliance with growth and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong bookkeeping skills with accurate record‑keeping and routine transaction management.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and basic financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related digital finance tools.
• Knowledge of accounting principles for preparing and posting journal entries.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is beneficial.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Phnom Penh, collaborate across functions, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
