Sales Executive – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive revenue growth by managing key forwarder and shipper accounts, supporting trade and customer service teams, and promoting our e‑commerce platform. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth quotation, invoicing and payment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with trade and customer service teams to maintain high service quality.
• Coordinate and update rolling forecasts in the system.
• Manage and develop relationships with key forwarder and shipper accounts, understanding their business needs.
• Prepare and deliver accurate quotations to customers.
• Participate actively in sales activities and promote trade initiatives to increase sales.
• Gather market intelligence and support the Head of Marketing & Commercial on strategic projects.
• Work with the account team to ensure timely invoice issuance and chase payments.
• Promote the company’s e‑commerce solution to existing and new customers.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of progressive sales or account‑management experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or a related maritime sector.
• Experience with Chinese forwarders or shippers is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and close sales.
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Motivated, results‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
