Sales Executive – Custom Packaging & Card Printing

About the role

TheBoxes is an early‑stage startup building an online platform for custom packaging and card printing. We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our growing team in Phnom Penh and help shape how we sell to small and medium businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and outreach to SMEs that can benefit from better packaging and card solutions.
• Understand client products and goals, recommend appropriate packaging, and convert opportunities into sales.
• Build and manage a sales pipeline, conduct consultations, follow up, and close deals.
• Respond to social‑media inquiries and turn them into customers.
• Turn one‑time buyers into repeat, long‑term clients.
• Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure timely, spec‑accurate deliveries.
• Track leads, sales, and customer relationships while helping improve internal systems.
• Research market trends, competitors, and customer needs to uncover growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with founders to test new sales channels, partnerships, and campaigns.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with ownership and initiative, regardless of prior title.
• Comfortable starting conversations with business owners and handling objections.
• Highly organized, reliable, and able to follow through on every deal in the pipeline.
• Fluent in English and Khmer.
• Problem‑solver who knows when to seek help.
• Experience leading a project, team, or initiative from start to finish (university, volunteering, side‑hustle, or work).

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets, messaging apps, and task‑management tools.
