Business Development Executive – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive commercial growth and market expansion for our freight forwarding business in Cambodia. You will focus on increasing revenue, gross profit and market share across all key product lines, including sea, air, trucking and brokerage services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute local commercial strategies to grow revenue and market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with direct customers, shippers and global freight forwarders lacking a Cambodian presence.
• Build and manage pipelines with overseas agents, partners and local networks.
• Prepare pricing, quotations and tenders while ensuring profitability and competitive positioning.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to refine strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales performance data, pipelines and KPIs.
• Collaborate with marketing to run promotional campaigns and branding initiatives.
• Establish strong, long‑term relationships with key customers, agents and internal support teams.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company reporting standards.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of business development experience in freight forwarding or logistics within Cambodia.
• Proven client portfolio and strong network of overseas partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Fluent in English and Khmer; Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Relevant logistics or supply‑chain certifications are advantageous.
