Assistant Manager – Documentation

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Documentation will lead the documentation function within a busy warehouse environment, ensuring all export paperwork is accurate and delivered on time. This role acts as the primary liaison between the documentation team, supply chain, customs brokers and technology groups to keep container movements flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor all documentation activities in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with SCM/CX teams on container loading plans, releases and any document‑related escalations.
• Manage interactions with truckers and carriers for empty container pickups and timely delivery of full containers to the port.
• Liaise with customs brokerage to guarantee correct export documents are submitted for every container.
• Collaborate with technical teams on app, automation, robot and macro tool development and rollout.
• Serve as a HighJump WMS super‑user, troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
• Develop and coach documentation team members.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the Site Manager or Country Head of Operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in documentation or logistics operations within a warehouse setting.
• Strong coordination abilities with supply‑chain, customs and transportation partners.
• Leadership experience in developing and managing a small team.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to resolve process and system issues quickly.

Required skills

• HighJump WMS (Warehouse Management System) proficiency.
• Automation tools experience.
• Macro tool development and usage.
• Robotics or robotic process automation exposure.
