Volunteer Accountant – Cambodia

About the role

The organisation is seeking a volunteer accountant to review and strengthen its accounting systems, software choices and financial management processes across its programmes in Cambodia. This unpaid position offers the chance to support an international child‑protection NGO while gaining hands‑on experience in non‑profit finance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current accounting system and identify gaps.
• Evaluate software options and recommend improvements.
• Enhance consistency of financial reporting across country programmes.
• Strengthen internal controls and practical financial procedures.
• Collaborate with the finance team to implement system upgrades.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial management and accounting systems.
• Background in complex or multi‑programme organisations, preferably NGOs.
• Willingness to volunteer without remuneration.
• Ability to work independently and support remote or on‑site teams.
