Senior Sous Chef – Luxury Resort

About the role

As Senior Sous Chef at Six Senses Krabey Island, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to elevate the culinary experience in a luxury resort setting. You will champion sustainability, wellness, and unique guest experiences while ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef and oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
• Continuously refresh menus and wine lists to align with Six Senses’ culinary philosophy.
• Implement purchasing practices that meet nutrition and sustainability standards.
• Drive cost‑focused training and education for the culinary team.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, financial, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain budgetary controls, reporting systems, and host management practices.
• Uphold LQA standards and respond to guest feedback.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma or degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience in a full‑service or luxury hotel outlet.
• Proficient in broiler equipment, meat and fish cookery, and knife skills.
• Strong understanding of farm‑to‑table concepts.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food‑handler permit.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
