Senior Finance Analyst

About the role

A Senior Finance Analyst position in the automotive industry, based in Sangkat Mittapheap, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh. The role combines month-end close and reporting with business partnering, budgeting and forecasting, statutory and group reporting, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the accounting team for timely monthly and yearly account closing, review trial balances, reconciliations and journal entries, and submit monthly P&L and balance sheet reports to the GM, CFO and CEO with commentary.
• Act as finance business partner to divisions, run variance analysis (actuals vs budget, forecast and prior period) on revenue, gross profit, operating expenses and cash flow, and support pricing, investment and capex decisions with financial modelling.
• Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor performance against budget and highlight deviations.
• Assist in quarterly and annual SECC reports, prepare the yearly consolidation pack with intercompany eliminations, and support external audit and Group reviews.
• Support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, work with the IT team on Odoo reporting needs, and recommend automation of recurring reports and dashboards.
• Guide junior finance staff and perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager, FC or CFO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years of finance, financial analysis or accounting experience, ideally in a multi-division or group environment.
• Experience with month-end close, management reporting, budgeting and consolidation.
• Familiarity with CIFRS and SECC reporting is an advantage.
• Good English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, financial modelling) and PowerPoint.
• ERP experience, preferably Odoo, and BI or dashboard tools.
• Understanding of financial statements, cost accounting and consolidation.
