Relationship Manager - Payroll Business

About the role

This role is responsible for managing the bank's payroll business, combining client relationship management, business development and cross-selling of bank products. It also involves monitoring performance, giving feedback to product teams and supporting junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing payroll clients and act as their main point of contact
• Engage regularly with clients to identify opportunities to cross-sell loans, credit cards and investment products
• Hold regular meetings with key accounts to check satisfaction and find areas for improvement
• Acquire new payroll clients and grow the payroll portfolio, promoting the bank's payroll services
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell savings accounts, investments, credit facilities, insurance and business loans
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings and regulatory changes, and give feedback to product and strategy teams
• Monitor performance against targets and report on new accounts, deposit growth, customer satisfaction and cross-sell success
• Work with cross-functional teams and guide junior staff or payroll specialists

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in banking, financial services or payroll solutions, focused on client relationship management or business development
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building long-term customer relationships
• Strong experience managing payroll services or a similar client-facing role in a bank or financial institution
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
