Head of Corporate Banking - Lending

About the role

The Head of Corporate Banking Department - Lending is based at the Head Office in Phnom Penh. The role drives sales of the Bank's products and services by acquiring new corporate clients and expanding relationships with existing ones, growing the loan book and achieving the sales budget.

Key responsibilities

• Build effective referral networks, including internal relationships, existing customers and local market activities, to promote the Bank's products and services
• Acquire new clients and manage existing ones to improve overall profitability
• Manage the sales pipeline, including up-selling and cross-selling of Bank products and solutions
• Analyse credit data and financial information to assess the risk of large or complex loans
• Market and process loan applications, including credit analysis and summaries of loan requests, within deadlines before submission to the committee for final approval
• Work closely with branches and other business units to capture upstream and downstream business and referral opportunities
• Provide superior customer service through professionalism and tailor-made solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance and banking, accounting or a relevant field
• 10 years of experience in business banking or medium business lending, with at least 3 years in a managerial position
• In-depth knowledge of bank operations, rules and regulations, loan granting and credit risk management
• Excellent client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate and empower team members
• Ability to speak Khmer and English, and/or other languages

Required skills

• Sound credit evaluation and analysis skills, with insight into medium business loans in Cambodia
• Ability to analyse audited and management financial statements to assess repayment capacity and financial soundness
• Use of qualitative and quantitative tools to evaluate complex credit applications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Bank's software
