Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager oversees all branch operations, including deposit and loan functions, and leads the branch's sales toward its targets through direction, planning and staff training. The role also maintains communication between the branch and upper management and keeps customers satisfied while ensuring the branch's continued profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the branch's business to deliver results in loan and deposit growth, revenue, performance, productivity and profit.
• Communicate the Head Office strategy to the branch and create action plans to build public trust, sales and cross-selling.
• Build referral networks with internal partners, existing customers and local market activities, and regularly train staff on products and core competencies.
• Monitor loan repayment settlements and credit reports, including collateral, with each Personal Banker, and ensure accurate credit quality reporting.
• Drive the team to meet deposit and loan KPIs by monitoring the quality of the loan portfolio and routine transactions across front-end and back-end operations.
• Ensure consistent service quality and delivery to meet and exceed customer expectations and retain key accounts.
• Manage human resources, including staffing, training, performance appraisals, promotions, salary actions and termination.
• Lead regular branch meetings, monitor local competitors, and prepare daily, weekly and month-end reports, memos and attend management meetings.
• Educate staff on policies and procedures to reduce operational risk, resolve complex staff issues, and coordinate internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance and banking, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in banking and financial services, with a strong track record in loan assessment and sales, including at least 3 years in management and 3 years leading a loan team.
• Excellent knowledge of bank branch operations, cash operations, banking rules and regulations, AML and CFT law, loan policies and lending authority.
• Good knowledge of the economic climate and its impact on customers, businesses and the bank.
• Ability to work in Khmer and English; Chinese Mandarin is an advantage.
