Purchasing Executive

About the role

TotalEnergies Marketing (Cambodia) is hiring a Purchasing Executive in Phnom Penh on a fixed-term basis. The role works with requesters and business departments such as Operations, Technical/Engineering, Retail/Commercial, Finance, HR, IT and Administration, and covers suppliers, vendors, contractors, service providers and potential new suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with requesters in Finance, Operations, Technical and other departments
• Handle purchase requests (RFQ/CFT) as assigned and support the team on urgent needs
• Ensure HSSE, cost saving, purchasing policy and compliant processes are followed
• Review recurring purchases and turn them into long-term contract agreements
• Handle asset disposal or write-offs
• Prepare and store supplier, contractor and transporter contracts in SharePoint
• Update and register existing and new vendors
• Source at least two new potential suppliers per year
• Review existing contracts for addendums, extensions or tender renewals
• Check that PRs submitted by requesters contain correct material codes, supplier names, barcodes, costs and delivery addresses, and keep working files in SharePoint
• Clean up blanket POs at the end of each period and review VMD
• Prepare Excel reports and purchasing data analysis
• Save at least 3-5% of total expenses through PO handling
• Assist the N+1 or line manager on assigned tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Finance or a related field
• 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics or a related function; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered
• Khmer as mother tongue and English at intermediate to upper-intermediate level

Required skills

• Good Excel skills for quotation comparison, price analysis, data tracking and reporting
• Basic knowledge of SAP is preferable
• Negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of commercial terms, pricing, lead time and payment terms
