National Consultant for Data Collection on Married Girls Case Management

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Cambodia is seeking a national consultant to lead data collection for a multi‑country situational analysis on case‑management responses for married adolescent girls. The consultant will design, implement and analyse key informant interviews and focus group discussions across selected provinces.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning meetings, review and validate interview guides, and generate a list of key informants.
• Organise and conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions, ensuring appropriate participant profiles.
• Code daily interview notes, identify emerging themes and produce a concise country‑level summary.
• Contribute to regional analysis workshops and validation sessions with community members.

Required profile

• University degree (preferably Master’s) in social sciences, gender studies, development or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in gender‑based violence or child marriage programmes, preferably with NGOs or international agencies.
• Fluent in Khmer and English, with strong analytical and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Qualitative research methods, including interview guide development and thematic analysis.
• Interviewing and focus‑group facilitation techniques.
• Data coding and organization using spreadsheet tools.
