Laboratory Technician

About the role

Premium Laboratory is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Laboratory Technician to perform routine and specialized tests across multiple disciplines, ensuring accurate and timely results for patients and clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples and reagents and operate laboratory instruments for hematology, biochemistry, serology, microbiology and molecular diagnostics.
• Record, verify and report test results while adhering to quality control and equipment calibration procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and follow biosafety and infection‑control protocols.
• Collaborate with medical biologists and other team members to support efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Biology or a related scientific field.
• Previous experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory, preferably in a high‑volume, multi‑disciplinary setting.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality assurance, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Basic computer literacy for laboratory information systems and data entry.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing hematology, biochemistry, serology, microbiology and molecular diagnostic tests.
• Ability to operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Knowledge of quality control practices and biosafety/infection‑control procedures.
• Use of laboratory information systems for data entry and report generation.
