Fitness Manager

About the role

SORYA Center Point, a shopping center established in 2003 and located in Phnom Penh's main financial hub, is hiring a Fitness Manager. The manager oversees the daily operations of the fitness center, manages fitness staff, ensures customer satisfaction and health and safety standards, and drives membership growth and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the gym, exercise studios and other fitness facilities, keeping equipment clean, safe and well maintained, and coordinate with the maintenance team.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate fitness trainers, receptionists and other staff; prepare schedules, set performance targets and coach employees.
• Develop strategies to grow membership sales and retention, build packages and promotions with Marketing and Sales, and work with corporate clients and new business opportunities.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback, monitor satisfaction and improve member engagement and retention.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and emergency procedures, conduct regular equipment inspections and keep accident and inspection records.
• Manage the annual budget, monitor revenue and expenses, prepare performance reports, control inventory and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate fitness promotions and campaigns, organize challenges, group exercises and wellness programs, and develop partnerships with brands and fitness professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fitness center, gym, wellness club or leisure facility operations.
• At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
• Good command of English and Khmer.
