Country Director – Cambodia

About the role

The Country Director is the most senior leader of ActionAid Cambodia, responsible for setting strategic direction, representing the organization nationally and internationally, and ensuring the delivery of the Country Strategy in line with ActionAid International’s global goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Country Strategy and ensure alignment with the global Strategy Implementation Framework.
• Provide overall management of programmes, operations, finance, fundraising, advocacy and people management.
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with donors, foundations, private‑sector actors and government bodies.
• Champion feminist leadership, safeguarding policies and ActionAid’s core values.
• Drive innovation, sustainability and accountability across all functions.

Required profile

• Visionary senior leader with deep understanding of Cambodia’s social, political and economic context.
• Proven experience in leading large‑scale development programmes and managing diversified fundraising portfolios.
• Strong ability to influence policy, represent the organization and build high‑level partnerships.
• Cambodian national with a commitment to gender‑equitable leadership and safeguarding.
