Assistant to Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant to the Maintenance Manager to support procurement, supplier coordination and customs clearance activities for our operations in Phnom Penh. The role will work closely with the maintenance team, transport agents and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying new sources for goods and services and reviewing specifications, delivery and payment terms.
• Obtain supplier quotations based on approved purchase requests, prepare quote analyses and support management approval.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track order delivery and service performance, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and contracts.
• Update and maintain supplier and price databases, including contact details and product information.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs authorities to manage shipments, customs clearance and related documentation.
• Handle issues such as defective goods, damages or returns and communicate status updates to requestors.
• Prepare and issue quotations, purchase orders and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Ensure proper documentation and record‑keeping in line with retention schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, shipment handling and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Familiarity with the power, energy or infrastructure sectors is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork orientation in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering concepts is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
