Young & Emerging Evaluator Consultant (UNFPA Cambodia)

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Cambodia is seeking a Young and Emerging Evaluator to support the Country Programme Evaluation (CPE) for its 7th Country Programme (2024‑2028). The consultant will work under the guidance of the Evaluation Manager, contributing to all phases of the evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CPE manager with drafting notes, data management, desk reviews, stakeholder communication, meeting organization and logistics.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, graphs, tables and diagrams to illustrate findings.
• Support field data collection, including translation between English and Khmer.
• Contribute to data analysis and the preparation of evaluation reports.
• Help disseminate evaluation results to key stakeholders and may attend an in‑person training in Nairobi if funded.

Required profile

• Under 35 years of age with a Bachelor’s degree in development studies, population studies, economics, M&E, social sciences, public health or a related field.
• Certificate in evaluation or equivalent qualification.
• Less than 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research or social studies in international development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills in English and Khmer.
• Interest in building professional evaluation capacity within Cambodia.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data visualization tools.
• Good command of information and communication technology.
