Senior Purchasing Officer

About the role

AGB Consulting is seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer to lead the full procurement cycle for its operations in Phnom Penh. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management and close collaboration with finance and operations to ensure cost‑effective and timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process, from reviewing requisitions to issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers, conduct negotiations and secure favorable terms.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships to monitor quality, cost and service performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse purchasing data and propose cost‑saving or process‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.

Required profile

• Strong command of purchasing processes and experience handling purchase requisitions and orders.
• Proven track record in supplier and contract negotiation with ability to achieve competitive pricing.
• Analytical skills to evaluate quotations, track spending and support data‑driven decisions.
• Experience in vendor management, inventory control and cross‑functional coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field.
• Prior experience in a senior or supervisory purchasing role is preferred; knowledge of local and regional markets is an advantage.
