Senior Data Center Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Center Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of our critical data centre facilities. The role ensures high availability of power, cooling and security systems while supporting continuous service delivery for public digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling and environmental monitoring.
• Oversee UPS, PDU, ATS, generators, switchgear, transformers and electrical distribution systems.
• Control HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers and optimise airflow.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, power utilisation and alarm systems, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and provide Level 2/3 escalation support.
• Maintain fire alarm, FM200/NOVEC suppression, and ensure safety compliance.
• Support physical security systems such as access control, CCTV and biometric devices.
• Plan capacity for power, cooling and rack utilisation and contribute to disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Coordinate vendors, prepare SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, maintenance and RCA reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in team management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in data centre facilities operations or critical environment management.
• Proven ability to manage mission‑critical infrastructure and lead maintenance activities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Leadership and mentoring capability.
