Senior Officer, Windows Administrator

About the role

Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows server infrastructure and related applications, ensuring 24x7 system availability, security, and reliability. The role also involves managing Active Directory, Exchange services, and ensuring seamless integration with other platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server operating systems, including setup, configuration, hardening, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
• Provide L1/L2 support for Windows systems and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
• Create, refresh, upgrade, tune and monitor systems while documenting related processes.
• Administer Active Directory services (users, groups, OUs, Group Policies, domain services).
• Manage Windows Server services such as DNS, DHCP, File Services, Print Server, and related applications.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Microsoft Exchange/email services.
• Oversee integrations between Windows and other platforms to ensure compliance with the technology landscape.
• Maintain backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery readiness for Windows servers.
• Handle hardware/software configuration on Windows platforms to guarantee high availability.
• Maintain system documentation, guidelines, procedures and operational standards in line with IT governance.
• Monitor data‑center health and perform proactive maintenance for 24/7 uptime.
• Conduct system failure analysis, capacity planning, and business‑continuity activities.
• Perform security audits, implement corrective actions and monitor availability KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Microsoft certification in Windows Server or Azure Administration.
• 2‑4 years of experience managing Windows environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy management.
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration and networking technologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities, with capacity to work under pressure.
