Reservation Agent

About the role

Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort, a 200-room property near the city's ancient sites, is hiring a Reservation Agent. The role handles all reservation requests, changes and cancellations by phone, fax or mail, and supports the front office through accurate booking records and group rooming.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail
• Identify guest needs, choose the right room type and rate, and check availability
• Explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies to callers and accommodate special requests
• Answer questions about facilities, services and room accommodations
• Follow sales techniques to maximise revenue and communicate details of VIP reservations
• Input and access data in the reservation system and set up billing accounts according to accounting policy
• Oversee the accuracy of room blocks and reservations, and input group rooming lists while keeping files organised
• Respond to accommodation challenges by contacting the right departments, and comply with quality assurance standards
• Welcome guests, assist people with disabilities and follow company policies, appearance and confidentiality rules

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• No license or certification needed
