Sales Executive - Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort

About the role

Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort, a 200-room property near the city's ancient sites, is hiring a Sales Executive. The role covers guest service, reservations and sales activities, and supports the Sales & Marketing function.

Key responsibilities

• Contact the right person or department to resolve guest calls, requests or problems.
• Use sales techniques that maximise revenue while keeping existing guests loyal, including up-selling.
• Determine and give complimentary gifts to guests for their patronage (e.g. rewards points, show tickets, gift certificates).
• Promote the brand image internally and externally.
• Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points and handle all reservation requests, changes and cancellations by phone, fax or mail.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when taking reservations.
• Answer, record and process guest calls, requests, questions and concerns.
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing (filing, emails, typing, faxing).
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, follow company policies, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, speak clearly and professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
