Renewable Energy Engineer

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Phnom Penh (also covering Pursat) focuses on designing, analysing, and implementing sustainable wind and solar energy solutions. The Renewable Energy Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality renewable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and develop technical designs for wind and solar installations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and support project proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Monitor project performance, ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and tools.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in wind energy and solar power design and optimisation.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, storage solutions, and grid‑connection considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with energy modelling and simulation tools and proficiency in relevant engineering software.
• Ability to interpret technical standards, prepare clear reports, and communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and project coordination skills with capacity to manage multiple assignments on‑site.
• Prior experience in Southeast Asia or familiarity with local regulations is a plus.
