Production Manager – Manufacturing (Steel)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our steel manufacturing operations. The role ensures smooth, cost‑effective production processes, on‑time delivery and high product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing processes run smoothly, are cost‑effective and deliver products on time with the right quality.
• Plan, organize and direct day‑to‑day production and technical operations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for production, technical and machinery operations.
• Estimate costs, set quality standards and manage quality through effective quality management systems.
• Increase production capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee materials procurement and vendor management to consistently meet production, performance and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, adjust schedules as needed and coordinate with maintenance to keep machines in good condition.
• Manage raw material inventory in collaboration with procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain worker productivity and ensure tasks are completed as delegated.
• Prepare and present regular production reports to the General Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field; construction knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in building materials, steel or metal fabrication.
• Proven ability to lead a production team and optimise manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of production management, quality control and inventory management.
• Familiarity with industry‑standard equipment and technical processes.
• Understanding of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and stewardship processes.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time‑management skills.
