Product Engineer

About the role

The Product Engineer will develop and optimise manufacturing methods and processes to deliver compliant products that meet customer and company design and quality requirements. The role involves learning new technologies, tools and machinery to ensure efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Study existing project documents, process flowcharts, and PFMEA analyses.
• Define process tack time, cutting layouts, and error‑proofing devices.
• Control material test requirements, BOM, material consumption and weight details.
• Manage product drawing control, internal and external engineering documents, and sampling procedures.
• Lead development cost calculations and product launch management.
• Conceptualise, prototype, and test new products or improve existing ones.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing and other cross‑functional teams to bring products to market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in product design, product engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical and management abilities, including problem‑solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of product specifications, user experience (UX) and market trends.
• Flexibility, willingness to accept new challenges and a desire for continuous learning.
