Product Development Developer

About the role

The Developer is responsible for all product development assignments from early concept through commercialization and CS sign‑off, supporting the Senior Manager, Product Development in executing the full range of development work across Tapestry’s brands.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the product development process from early development through sampling stages, ensuring timely delivery of prototypes, line presentation samples and brand activation samples.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and factories to manage leather, material, component and hardware sourcing, and verify sample quality before shipment.
• Handle special techniques such as printing, laser, embossing, and oversee testing and trials to mitigate early‑stage risks.
• Lead handover meetings with PM, costing and engineering teams, providing design details, quality risk assessments and special execution requirements.
• Maintain accurate reports in the EC‑Vision system and verify sample execution during site visits.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of product development experience in handbags, wallets or accessories; branded experience preferred.
• Hard‑working, well‑organized, proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with multicultural team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using the EC‑Vision system for reporting and tracking.
