Pre‑Sales Engineer – Cybersecurity Solutions

About the role

The Cybersecurity Pre‑Sales Engineer provides technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and solution design to proof‑of‑concept, presentations, and handover. The role bridges customer needs with appropriate security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers to analyse business, security, network and IT requirements and conduct technical discovery sessions.
• Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, BoQs, statements of work and respond to RFP/RFQ/tender requirements.
• Build demonstration environments, lead proof‑of‑concept implementations, and document results and recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations and support sales teams during negotiations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity vendors and partners, maintain product knowledge and coordinate technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, presales or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and security technologies.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, VLAN, routing and switching.
• Network security concepts and cybersecurity product knowledge.
• Technical presentation, demonstration and proof‑of‑concept execution.
• Experience responding to RFP/RFQ and preparing technical compliance matrices.
