Merchandiser / Purchaser

About the role

Kohnan Shoji is expanding its retail footprint in Cambodia and seeks a Merchandiser/Purchaser to drive product selection, supplier negotiations, and compliance for its home‑center stores.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on retail competitors and trends to support purchasing decisions.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring transparency, legal compliance, and proper documentation.
• Participate in supplier negotiations, prepare purchasing reports, and coordinate invoices and account setups.
• Collaborate with store operations to monitor product performance and its impact on sales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in retail purchasing, merchandising, or related roles.
• Experience with household goods, home electronics, furniture, leisure products or home improvement items.
• Proficient English for business communication and ability to work under a foreign supervisor in a multicultural environment.
