Manager, Sourcing Operations – Apparel, Equipment & Packs

About the role

You will lead a team of specialists overseeing day‑to‑day production operations at Tier‑1 factories. The role serves as the first line of escalation, troubleshooting production issues and partnering with VF functional teams and factory partners to drive quality, on‑time performance and social/environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of specialists, fostering professional growth.
• Manage a portfolio of factories, ensuring core KPIs (quality, OTP, compliance) are met or exceeded.
• Participate in risk assessment and pre‑production meetings, identifying risks and recommending actions.
• Resolve production‑related issues (material delays, low output) in collaboration with VF functions and factories.
• Support root‑cause analysis, corrective‑action plan (CAP) implementation and quality claim reviews.
• Assist the Responsible Sourcing Ops team with social/environmental compliance corrective actions and VF sustainability programs (e.g., Higg Index, WCD, LABS).
• Co‑lead automation strategy with the Commercialization team and promote lean manufacturing practices.
• Leverage data analytics to improve factory performance and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in apparel, equipment or pack manufacturing with deep knowledge of processes, materials and construction methods.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent collaboration skills to build internal and external relationships.
• Ability to travel frequently to factory sites and manage multiple locations.
