External Reporting Officer

About the role

The External Reporting Officer will support the bank’s external reporting function by preparing accurate monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with Cambodian International Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS), and coordinating with auditors and regulators. This role is based at the Head Office in Phnom Penh and works closely with the External Reporting Supervisor and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly adjustments in accordance with CIFRS.
• Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports such as trial balance, BNC report, treasury report, financial statements, related‑party lists and Board of Directors material.
• Monitor reporting timelines to guarantee on‑time submission and avoid missed deadlines.
• Ensure all reports comply with applicable laws, regulations and approved templates.
• Coordinate information requests from external parties, including auditors and regulators.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and regulatory submissions.
• Track unusual movements in balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss items and alert the line manager.
• Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CAT preferred).
• Minimum of one year of experience in accounting, finance or a related area.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Khmer and English.
• Good time‑management, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
