Director of Commercial

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader to drive growth and profitability in our real‑estate portfolio. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Director of Commercial will shape and execute the company’s commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals to accelerate growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans for expansion and business development.
• Understand existing customer requirements and ensure their needs are met.
• Acquire new customers, manage relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to coordinate initiatives.
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Monitor commercial performance using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
• Assist in setting financial targets, budgeting, and monitoring financial performance.
• Oversee sales and marketing plans, including training programs for team members.
• Track KPIs for sales and marketing staff, ensuring targets are achieved.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports for the Board.
• Develop techniques to attract prospective customers while retaining current ones.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a commercial director or in a comparable senior commercial role.
• Strong background in sales, marketing, and managing key client relationships.
• In‑depth knowledge of market research methods and analysis.
• Solid understanding of performance reporting, financial budgeting, and target setting.
• Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Finance or a related field; MSc/MA is a plus.
