Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain business applications as part of an agile team. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering high‑quality code and collaborating with product owners and regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, unit‑test, and integrate new features based on product backlog items.
• Build APIs and data solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and backlog refinement.
• Conduct investigative spikes to reduce technical uncertainty.
• Assist in creating automated test harnesses and maintain documentation such as deployment guides.
• Update progress daily in Jira or Kanban boards and contribute to weekly Look Ahead meetings.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of backend development experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Collaborative attitude with good verbal and written communication skills.
• BA or BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
