Technical Field Manager – Humanitarian Mine Action

About the role

The Technical Field Manager will lead humanitarian mine action operations in Cambodia, ensuring safe clearance of landmines, unexploded ordnance and cluster munitions. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will supervise field teams, maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and uphold the highest safety standards in remote, challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate field teams in minefield surveying, clearance and explosive ordnance disposal activities.
• Conduct continuous risk assessments and enforce safety protocols on‑site.
• Develop and monitor work plans, reporting and documentation in line with MAG’s procedures.
• Provide training, mentoring and capacity‑building for national staff and community liaison officers.
• Adapt operational plans to evolving conditions and support problem‑solving across the programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Humanitarian Mine Action programmes within conflict‑affected or remote settings.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong organisational, communication and reporting capabilities.
• Commitment to MAG’s humanitarian principles and to building team capability.

Required skills

• Minefield surveying.
