Remote Radiology AI Subject Matter Expert (Contractor)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will act as a Radiology Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI‑generated imaging responses. You will evaluate the clinical reasoning, safety, and accuracy of AI outputs and create high‑quality reference content to improve AI model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated radiology and medical‑imaging answers, rating them for correctness, clarity, safety, and adherence to prompts.
• Identify errors in imaging appropriateness, modality selection, protocol choices, differential‑diagnosis reasoning, and patient‑safety considerations.
• Fact‑check clinical and imaging information and write detailed explanations and model solutions.
• Create detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers covering imaging appropriateness, protocols, differential diagnosis, and reporting concepts.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, and bias, ensuring reliability across patient populations.

Required profile

• MD or DO (or equivalent) with completed Diagnostic Radiology residency.
• Board eligibility or certification (or local equivalent).
• At least 5 years of professional radiology experience in academic, community, teleradiology, or subspecialty practice.
• Strong clinical reasoning, safety judgment, and attention to detail.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency.
