Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales leads the hotel’s sales and marketing team, acting as the primary bridge between potential clients and hotel operations. The role focuses on converting prospects into revenue and ensuring the property’s overall financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily sales operations, manage event and group sales, develop new accounts, and achieve revenue targets.
• Conduct site inspections, host familiarisation trips, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist in budgeting, marketing plans, and setting annual sales goals; develop sales campaigns and promotions.
• Mentor and coach the sales team, conduct performance reviews, and implement training programs.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine pricing and sales strategies.
• Participate in regular sales and operations meetings, submit sales reports, and analyse progress.
• Maintain sales databases, respond promptly to inquiries, and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Attend hotel functions, conduct overseas sales calls, develop promotional packages, and uphold professional ethics.

Required profile
