Costing Engineer – Intimates

About the role

Centric Brands is seeking a Costing Engineer to support its Intimates and Socks product lines. The role bridges design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure products meet price targets while preserving design intent and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor global commodity and labor cost fluctuations and report findings to senior sourcing leadership.
• Partner with design, production, and vendor teams to develop early cost estimates for new and innovative styles.
• Generate detailed garment construction sequences (GSD) to establish baselines for cost negotiations.
• Analyze seasonal cost breakdowns, identify reduction opportunities, and present recommendations to production leadership.
• Optimize marker layouts and cuttable widths to improve material utilization and consumption.
• Support cost negotiations with factories by reviewing key cost drivers such as sewing minutes, efficiency, and material costs.
