Assistant Manager, Business Analysis & Project Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager will lead both business analysis and project management activities within the IT department, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver high‑impact technology solutions. This role blends analytical expertise with strong project leadership to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements; translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
• Conduct gap analyses, support system design, testing and implementation phases.
• Initiate, plan, execute and monitor IT projects using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
• Develop project charters, timelines, budgets and resource plans; track progress and manage risks.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and external vendors, providing regular status reports to senior management.
• Lead, coach and mentor the Business Analysis & Project Management team, allocating resources and prioritising work.
• Establish and enforce BA and PM frameworks, standards and templates; ensure compliance with governance, SDLC and internal controls.

Required profile

• MBA or bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis and project management, with proven team‑leadership experience.
• Experience interacting with senior stakeholders and delivering management‑level reporting.
• Familiarity with governance, SDLC and delivery frameworks; exposure to core insurance systems (e.g., Ingenium) is a strong advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, CBAP or Agile preferred.
