Swimming Coach

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Swimming Coach to deliver swimming lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels. The position can be either full‑time or part‑time and involves teaching swimming techniques, promoting water safety, and supporting the school’s aquatic programme.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for students of different ages and abilities.
• Teach swimming techniques, water‑safety principles, and basic rescue skills.
• Supervise learners and maintain a safe swimming environment.
• Monitor and assess each student’s progress and provide feedback.
• Respond to emergencies and perform lifeguard duties when required.
• Maintain swimming equipment and adhere to school safety and safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Swimming Coach/Instructor or Lifeguard.
• Valid Swimming Coach/Instructor certification or licence.
• Valid Lifeguard certification or licence.
• Strong swimming and water‑safety abilities.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff.
• Responsible, patient, safety‑conscious and physically fit.
