Senior Specialist, Communications, Community Investment and Brand

About the role

The Senior Specialist will support the execution of brand, communications, and community investment strategies. Working under the Head of Brand, Proposition, Communications and Community Impact, you will help translate business results into compelling stories and strengthen stakeholder connections.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing brand and communications plans that align with business goals.
• Transform company data into impactful storytelling, visualizations, and content.
• Support digital content and media partnership initiatives to boost brand awareness.
• Apply brand governance to ensure all messaging follows Manulife’s guidelines, voice, and tone.
• Collaborate with functional heads to draft speeches, talking points, media responses, scripts, and other communication materials.
• Co‑lead CSR programs and community investment initiatives to increase brand exposure among internal and external audiences.
• Ensure consistent key messaging across all external communication touchpoints.
• Assist with translation and preparation of senior‑management speaking materials for events and media interviews.
• Maintain accuracy and governance of external communications for various branding efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or content creation.
• Proven ability to develop content for digital and traditional media channels.
• Strong understanding of messaging, storytelling, and brand narrative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
