Senior Occupational Health Officer

About the role

The Senior Occupational Health Officer supports the Occupational Health Manager by providing emergency care, overseeing first‑aid services, and promoting a safe, healthy workplace across the head office and branches.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and restock first‑aid kits, manage medicine inventories, and control the first‑aid budget.
• Process medical allowance requests, coordinate with Benefits and Security teams, and advise staff on long‑term sick leave and NSSF claims.
• Maintain infirmary supplies, ensure sanitary conditions, and liaise with panel clinics, hospitals, and ambulance services.
• Promote workplace hygiene, share health updates, and assess safety standards to prevent hazards.
• Support Covid‑19 case management, contact tracing, and provide guidance on preventive measures.
• Visit inpatient staff, record medical histories, and generate monthly operation reports.
• Provide emergency medical care at corporate events and handle any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Experience in occupational health is a plus and a solid understanding of the field.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention‑to‑detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet use, and email.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
