Senior Internal Audit Analytics Specialist

About the role

The Senior Internal Audit Analytics Specialist will partner with the Head Office audit team to embed data‑driven techniques throughout the audit lifecycle. This role transforms large data sets into actionable insights that improve risk identification, audit coverage, and decision‑making for the Internal Audit Division.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with auditors during audit planning to pinpoint opportunities where analytics can enhance coverage and risk assessment.
• Translate audit objectives, risks and controls into practical analytics tests, scenarios and data‑driven sampling strategies.
• Lead data extraction, cleansing, validation and analysis activities to support fieldwork and reporting.
• Develop and run analytics scripts, queries and interactive dashboards using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL and Power BI.
• Interpret analytical results and communicate findings clearly for inclusion in working papers and audit reports.
• Identify emerging risks, unusual patterns and control gaps across business functions through risk‑based analytics.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for audit data analytics, coaching auditors and promoting continuous‑audit methodologies.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Informatics, Statistics, Economics, IT or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in data analytics or a comparable discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
