Production Accounting Manager

About the role

Artisans Angkor seeks a Production Accounting Manager to lead production accounting, product costing, and inventory accounting across its manufacturing operations. The role ensures accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of raw materials, work‑in‑progress, finished goods, and cost of goods sold within SAP Business One, supporting strong financial controls and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production and inventory accounting, ensuring precise cost recording and reporting.
• Oversee accounting flows for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and COGS, reconciling operational records with the general ledger.
• Manage product costing and variance analysis, covering material, labour, overhead, purchase price and yield variances.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end closing for production‑related accounts, delivering timely reports.
• Monitor inventory movements, conduct physical counts, investigate discrepancies and resolve aged balances.
• Prepare and review management reports on inventory, production costs, gross margin and key variances.
• Maintain robust financial controls, accounting procedures and audit readiness.
• Act as Finance lead for SAP Business One production costing and inventory processes, collaborating with operational and IT teams.
• Coach and develop the Production Accounting team, ensuring clear responsibilities and effective issue follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, production costing or inventory accounting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, WIP, inventory, COGS and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in month‑end closing, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Good working proficiency in Khmer and English.
